On February 17, Drew Kozub spoke to LRATC’s Broadcast Media class. He talked about his experience in the industry, and shared his tips for developing a podcast. Drew is a host at Kiss 102.3 FM and is also the host of the gaming and gadget segment “Geeking Out” on Breakfast Television. He also is the in-game host for the Winnipeg Jets.
Drew showed the Broadcast Media students how to narrow down your audience and refine your show concept. The students then had a chance to practice their interview skills by asking him all sorts of questions, such as how to make their future podcasts better, how to break into the industry, and a typical day in the life of a professional broadcaster.
